After the perfect steak? It’s all gravy

Diners these days are a savvy bunch when it comes to their steaks. Sauce on the side, no sauce at all, red wine sauce not peppercorn sauce, rare, medium-rare, well-done, some even like it blue. At Captain Cook’s Cove Restaurant at Stamford Grand North Ryde, diners are now able to relay their ‘special’ meal requests straight to the chef via one of the restaurants interactive iPad menus.

Gone are the days when diners would have to catch a waiter’s attention to take their order only then for them to incorrectly convey their meal requests to the chef. Now, diners at Stamford Grand North Ryde’s Captain Cook’s Cove can browse through one of the restaurants 15 iPad menus uninterrupted, and with a few simple swipes, order their meal and choose a recommended wine to match it.

It seems appropriate that Captain Cook’s Cove Restaurant is the perfect backdrop for the Stamford’s iPad launch, as explorers like Captain Cook famously “navigated” to find new worlds. Stamford diners are now presented with iPad menus to continue the legacy.

Stamford Hotels and Resorts Deputy Chief Operating Officer Jon Foo says, At Stamford Hotels and Resorts we are proud to be leading the way in advanced technology. We feel the iPad menus will add to our guests’ relaxed dining experience by offering this efficient and non-intrusive way to order.”

Captain Cook’s Cove Restaurant in Stamford Grand North Ryde was launched in 2010. It boasts a relaxed and approachable atmosphere with floor-to-ceiling windows that face the hotel’s tropical gardens and lagoon. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week from 6am – 11pm.
