Sexy, flirty fun at W Bali opening

Eva Ziegler, the global brand leader for luxury hotel powerhouse W is not worried about her competition, nor was she worried about things getting out of hand at the gala opening of her new property W Hotel in Seminyak.
Ms Ziegler said her competition was responding to W’s powerful challenge by launching their own premium offerings.
“But we are in a different position. Thirteen years after launching in New York City here right now we are in a different phase of our business. We are a global powerhouse,” Ms Ziegler said in an exclusive interview with Lunch Magazine.

“In general I always embrace competition because it keeps us on our toes and pushing the boundaries.
”We are sexy but we also want to be flirty we are defining flirty as a level of playfulness to our experience and we are always ensuing that flirty doesn’t become dirty.”
Ms Ziegler was speaking just before thousands gathered to boogie the night away to the sounds of some of the world’s hottest DJs selected by W Hotels Global Music Director Michaelangelo L’Acqua.
W has indeed achieved something unique, with the 158 rooms and luxury retreats maintaining a beach house feel, with lumber floors, amid gigantic stone baths and serene opulence combined with a “whatever the guest wants, they get it when they want it” approach.

Tonight’s lineup includes DJ Dimitri from Paris, a nightclub legend with a sound rooted in 70s funk and disco, and Bali’s own DJ Mamsa.
W Hotels Worldwide today kicks off the worldwide Premiere of W Retreat & Spa Bali – Seminyak, with an event concept of “A New Scene Unseen” – offering unique insights of Bali and a retreat that will bring alive the trendy island.
Showcasing W’s passions for fashion, design and music, the three-day Premiere Event weekend will establish W Bali as the definitive entertainment, fashion, and nightlife destination within Seminyak for both visitors and locals alike.
