Luxury travel brand Belmond has announced a partnership with leading Australian chef and restauranteur, Luke Mangan.

Magan will take part in a series of hosted journeys starting 28th October 2016 from Singapore to Bangkok on board the Eastern & Oriental Express train in Asia.

In partnership with Eastern & Oriental Express’ Executive Chef, Yannis Martineau, Luke Mangan and his team based in Singapore will showcase his polished culinary skills as they serve up clean and contemporary menus while aboard one of Asia’s most iconic train journeys.

The train carries 82 guests in all en-suite air-conditioned cabins with two dining cars, bar car (because it would be heresy not to have one) and outdoor observation car from which guests will enjoy the scenic landscapes of South East Asia.

In Singapore, guests will join Mangan for a morning tour of the exotic food market before boarding the train for the three day, two night journey, traversing Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.

Over the course of the journey Mangan will take up the challenge of serving a specially created menu from the train’s galley kitchens to guests in the elegantly old-world dining cars.
