Raffles Hotels and Resorts have expanded their portfolio with the launch of Raffles Jakarta this week, bringing the group’s collection to 12 hotels and resorts.
The hotel is located in the commercial hub of Kuningan, where business meets culture, an ideal intersection of the city’s attractions for business and leisure travellers alike. It is also linked to the new Ciputra Artpreneur Centre, a space dedicated to celebrating the diversity of art and theatre in Jakarta.
Raffles Jakarta celebrates the work of Indonesian artist Hendra Gunawan, whose paintings adorn the hotel’s interiors. The floor to ceiling windows in its 173 rooms and suites offer stunning views of the city, while the guestrooms epitomise ultimate luxury with its rich aesthetics.
“The interpretation and display of Hendra Gunawan’s artwork in this hotel is a truly special tribute to Indonesian art,” said Peter French, President of Raffles Hotels and Resorts.
“Jakarta is the economic and cultural seat of one of Asia’s fastest growing economies and we are delighted to be part of this growth. With Raffles Jakarta, we are bringing to Indonesia an authentic expression of Raffles Hotels & Resorts’ philosophy – the hotel is a combination of both Indonesian and global influences that gives it a unique sense of place.”
Guests will be able to experience the signature Raffles Spa with its six treatment rooms when it opens later this year. Other recreational facilities, including swimming pools, a fitness centre, tennis courts, jogging tracks and a yoga terrace, distinguish this hotel as one for the modern leisure traveller.
What’s more, the famous Writers Bar at Raffles Singapore has been adapted for an Indonesian context, bringing together an eclectic mix of the country’s art, history and literature.
Special: Guests staying at Raffles Jakarta from 16 March to 30 June 2015 will get 25 per cent off the best available rate for rooms and suites as part of a special opening deal.
